Will I need to assemble my unit?

All of our units come fully assembled.

Do I need a floor rail system in my van (like the VW California)?

No, our units can also just be bolted down to the floor of your van. We also have anchors/cleats for the VW California/Caravelle/Multivan rail system.

Will I need to do any plumbing?

No, our units are pre plumbed in with fully integrated plumbing systems including an auto feeding tap, pump, plumbing, clean water and grey water bottles

Does my unit need 12v electric?

The Mini-Pod, Hybrid, CRX and Nano pods have rechargeable USB taps. The other pods all have 12v taps which come with a 12v plug that just needs to be plugged into the closest 12v socket

Does a unit with a fridge or cooler need a leisure battery?

Yes, for operation when the engine is off a leisure battery will be needed

What happens if I have a problem with fitment into my van?

Our Fitment Support Guarantee In the event of problems fitting your pod we will:

Help with technical advice

Help you with any fitting adaptors/extra mounting plates

In the unlikely event that the unit does not fit we have a 14 day return policy (from the date of the delivery)

How long does delivery take?

Our lead times fluctuate through the year but they are generally 2-3 weeks if the pod is made to order. We also have an ‘in stock’ page and these pods should be dispatched around 3 working days after the order.

What happens if there is a missed delivery / delay / damage

On rare occasions there are delivery problems or damage then we will of course be on hand to deal with the matter.

How are the pods delivered?

The Mini, Nano Pods and accessories are delivered in a parcel by APC. APC will e-mail and text you tracking updates and we will send the tracking number when the unit is dispatched. It will normally arrive 2 working days after dispatch.

All the other larger units are delivered on a pallet. You will be provided with tracking info and the delivery date on dispatch but Palletways will also call/email you to book in the delivery. Please ensure you are in to accept the delivery.

How easy are the units to fit?

Here at Vangear we have spent many years designing and developing our campervan pods so that when it comes to fitting a Vangear unit, we have some advantages

Are the appliances included?

On the units with the built-in hobs/sinks the hobs/sinks and relevant gas fittings/regulator are included. You will just need to purchase the Campingaz R904 or R907 bottle.

The Mini-Pod and Nano are set up for the generic portable stove (e.g. Outwell Appetizer, Campingaz Bistro, Kemper Xtra Smart (33cm wide) etc) which is not included. These portable stoves use the disposable gas cartridges.

For the fridge based units the fridges are an optional extra.
